BrainSync by App Coder Hub

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

BrainSync helps you capture thoughts, attach files, and set smart reminders. Your memories sync through Google Firebase so they stay available across installs on the same anonymous account. This policy describes what we store and why.

Our commitment

We do not sell your personal information. We do not show ads and do not use advertising SDKs. BrainSync is built for private notes and reminders — not for advertising profiles.

What we do not collect

BrainSync does not require an email or password. Sign-in uses an anonymous Firebase ID created on your device. We do not collect contacts, payment cards, or location for core features. The current build does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or AdMob.

Permissions we use

Data on your device

A local Room cache of your memories, SharedPreferences (settings such as quiet hours, app lock toggle, onboarding, snooze helpers, and widget state), and alarm/session helpers are stored on-device. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes this local information.

Android backup may copy app data if device backup is enabled. Sensitive local settings can therefore transfer with your Android backup unless you clear app data or disable backup for the app.

Cloud services (Google Firebase)

BrainSync uses Google Firebase Auth (anonymous ID), Realtime Database, and Cloud Storage. Processor: Google LLC (Firebase / Google Play services).

Export and import in Settings let you download or restore a JSON copy of your memories on the device. Calendar export creates an .ics file you choose to save.

Uninstalling the app removes local data on the device. It does not automatically delete cloud documents or storage objects tied to your anonymous ID. Use Delete all memories / Empty trash in Settings when you want cloud data removed from the app’s database paths, and remove attachments through normal memory deletion when applicable.

Children’s privacy

BrainSync is for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You control microphone, camera, notification, and related permissions in Android Settings. You can turn off App Lock, quiet hours, or reminders in BrainSync Settings, export your data, move items to trash, empty trash, or delete all memories.

Revoking permissions, clearing app data, or uninstalling removes local data. Cloud retention for your anonymous ID is described in Cloud services above.
